First Star partnered with a building company operating across Australia and New Zealand, to develop and manufacture the House Framing Brace (HFB), an innovative adjustable brace system designed to reduce onsite labour by streamlining frame straightening and plumbing during house frame construction.

First Star Involvement

Delivering the complete end-to-end manufacturing solution, First Star contributed to each stage of the HFB’s development – from material selection and DFM input, through prototype creation and tooling, to the implementation of quality procedures and production systems. Including NC auto lathe, CNC machining and laser cutting of components, injection moulding, and complete product assembly.

As part of the Idea Group, First Star collaborated closely with Idea-NZ design engineers, who were embedded at First Star’s factory to support the manufacturing setup and establish robust SOP’s, quality control standards and procedures.
